Downtown Richmond and the James River exist side by side and offer an interesting combination of nature and civilization, history and current events. We hiked 4.5 miles around and on roads, railroad tracks, water lines and wooden bridges. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great. There was a nice breeze, lots of sun and plenty of clouds. The light was cool for photography as well.
